In the past, Jagex's attempts to expand beyond RuneScape have struggled, and it seems now the developer is happily settled to accept that it will always be "the RuneScape company." While Jagex hasn't always pleased the entire player base over the years, the consistency with which the developer has been able to deliver new content to both games is definitely to be admired. Both Old School RuneScape and RuneScape 3 are getting a new skill in 2023, huge updates which will continue to breathe new life into the games. The future of RuneScape looks extremely bright, despite the age of the game. The actual lore reason is unknown - it could just be there's plenty more of Gielinor that gamers are yet to see, giving Jagex the opportunity to expand on it in the future. One user even joked "Varrock castle the size of Germany." Others defended it, stating that it could just be a really small planet. While RuneScape's map is a huge open-world, it still isn't the size of a planet. While everyone appreciated the creativity of the piece, some in the thread joked about the scale of the planet. This isn't really a RuneScape client however, it can be ported into the RuneScape client and used as a full screen interface if you feel like augmenting your client in such a way.
